Here’s one for the conspiracy theory folks: Does the Big Ten have something against Penn State when it comes to scheduling?
These numbers are bizarrely fascinating: The Nittany Lions will start conference play on the road this season for the fifth straight year, and unbelievably, for the 10th time in 11 seasons going back to 2010.
Coincidence? Or Conspiracy?
Hmmm.
After posting my video, a friend did something I should have and looked up future schedules.
Penn State future Big Ten Openers
2021–at Wisconsin
2022-at Purdue
2023-at Illinois
2024-at Rutgers
2025-RutgersIf the schedule doesn’t get blown up for any reason in any season, Penn State will have opened up 14 out of the last 15 seasons in Big Ten play on the road by 2024.
