Penn State Basketball: Another Blue-Chipper Has Penn State In His Sights

The Penn State men’s basketball program has yet another 4-Star athlete thinking to play for the Nittany Lions in the 2026-2027 season. It was reported by Joe Tipton of Rivals that 6′-6,” 190 lb. Small Forward, Jayden Hodge, has Penn State in his final list of 8 schools to attend. Hodge plays for Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida and is the #59 overall ranked player in the country, per 247Sports. His is also the #24 ranked Small Forward in the country and the #11 ranked player in the state of Florida. Hodge also has offers coming in from Virginia Tech., Michigan State, Maryland, Old Dominion, Villanova, and Temple.

Just last week, 4-Star blue chipper, Julius Avent (2026), announced that he has Penn State narrowed down in his final list of 5 schools to attend. Avent, a 6′-8″ Power Forward from Oradell, New Jersey is the #87 ranked player in the nation, per 247Sports. He is scheduled to visit Happy Valley on September 6th.
