There was blood for Penn State wrestling star Tyler Kasak against Iowa.

Like last Friday night, Penn State wrestling star Tyler Kasak took care of business, and also like last Friday night, Kasak’s win featured a blood timeout.

It was quite as dramatic as last week, when Kasak’s bloody face helped to create what might be one of the most iconic images in Penn State wrestling history.

But it’s still worth keeping an eye on.

The latest stoppage resulted from an accidental head but courtesy of Michigan’s Zack Mattan.

When blood time happened, Kasak was up 6-2 and ended up getting a 7-2 win.

Penn State is hoping that medical stoppages don’t become a theme with Kasak. Right now, he’s rolling. Kasak has won 21 consecutive matches and, health permitting, doesn’t figure to stop anytime soon.
