Penn State Daily— Who Stood out From Day 2 of Winter Workouts?

Update (12:21 p.m.)— **Beau Pribula is 2-for-2 for winter workout Competitor of the Day honors.

Update (12:12 p.m.)— **Nicholas Singleton is RB  coach Ja’Juan Seider’s Competitor of the Day. Singleton’s rushed for 1,521 yards over his first two seasons.

Update (12:05 p.m.)— **Receivers coach Marques Hagans has named his second Competitor of the Day for this workout cycle, and it’s Malick Meiga. Meiga’s entering his fourth season and is one of Penn State’s captains.

Update (11:53 a.m.)— **Tyler Warren is Penn State’s Competitor of the Day for the tight ends room. Warren, a 6-foot-6, 257-pounder, had seven touchdowns last season, tying for the team lead with fellow TE Theo Johnson. Johnson will be in the NFL by the time next season starts, so Warren will be the projected leader of the pack.

Update (11:43 a.m.)— **For the second straight workout, Penn State OL Nick Dawkins is Phil Trautwein’s Competitor of the Day.

Update (11:22 a.m.)— **A new Penn State player is CB coach Terry Smith’s Competitor of the Day. It’s A.J. Harris, a former five-star recruit who transferred in from the University of Georgia last month.

Update (11:14 a.m.)— **Zakee Wheatley is the competitor of the day for the safeties room. Wheatley, a Maryland product, is entering his fourth season.

Update (11:07 a.m.)— **Penn State’s competitor of the day for the defensive line is Zane Durant. Durant had a big 2023, becoming a starter in his second season. He ended the year with 16 tackles, two sacks, 5.5 tackles for loss and a fumble recovery.

Update (10:52 a.m.)— **For the linebacker position, Dom DeLuca is Penn State’s second Competitor of the Day for 2024. DeLuca, a 6-foot-1, 218-pounder, is entering his fourth season at Penn State. The in-state kid from West Pittson came to Penn State as a walk-on and earned a scholarship by the end of the 2022 season. Know, he’s a key contributor on defense. He played in 10 of Penn State’s 13 games last season, ending the year with 21 tackles (13 solo), a sack, three tackles for loss, a blocked punt and three pass breakups.
