PSU Women’s Volleyball Selesia Elisaia Named Big Ten Setter of the Week

Penn State women’s volleyball setter Selesia Elisaia has been named the Big Ten Setter of the Week. Elisaia is a graduate transfer from CSU Bakersfield in just her second week of competition with Penn State.

Last week, she averaged 12.40 assists per set and 1.70 digs per set as the team went 3-0 in the Tiger Challenge with wins over Iowa State, Troy and LSU. Her current average of 11.24 assists per set leads the Big Ten.

Penn State women’s volleyball moved up one spot to No. 20 in the AVCA coaches poll on Monday and will have a pair of ranked match-ups in the Big Ten/Pac 12 Challenge this upcoming weekend. They will play No. 11 Stanford on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and No. 18 Oregon on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. both in Minnesota, the host of the event.
