Jim Ferry will be on the basketball court again this year but for the first time in awhile, it won’t be as a head coach.
Jon Rothstein from the FanRag Sports Network is reporting that Ferry has been hired as an assistant at Penn State.
Rothstein says an announcement on this will come soon.
Ferry was fired by Duquesne after coaching them for the last five seasons and never finishing higher than 10th in the Atlantic 10.
Head coach Pat Chambers is in a must-win situation at Penn State so there will be pressure on the coaching staff to produce wins right away.
