Penn State football has landed its second prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.
Three-star cornerback Zachary Gleason announced on social media Tuesday that he is committing to Penn State.
Gleason visited Happy Valley last week and met with head coach Matt Campbell.
A 6-foot defensive back from Pittsburgh power Central Catholic High School, Gleason was officially offered by Campbell’s staff on December 17.
He previously attended Penn State football camp in the summers of 2024 and 2025. Gleason traveled to State College on an unofficial visit for the Nevada game on August 30.
Gleason attended Junior Day on January 24, 2026, and had another scheduled visit on June 5.

Penn State landed its first commit under Campbell for the class of 2027 on Saturday. 6-foot-3, four-star corner Semajay Robinson picked PSU over Pitt, Florida State, and others.
Gleason registered 45 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, 10 pass breakups, three interceptions, and was named First-Team All-Section in WPIAL 6A. Central Catholic won its second consecutive WPIAL championship and finished second in states.
Penn State is in the midst of spring practice in anticipation of spring practice No. 15 during Blue-White Weekend on April 25 to conclude the spring practice window and go into summer.
