Iowa State decommit Will Slagle, a four-star offensive lineman in the class of 2027, announced an offer from Penn State Football on Thursday, Dec. 11.
Cyclones’ offensive line coach Ryan Clanton joined the Nittany Lions earlier that day, and it seems Penn State immediately got to work trying to bring Slagle, who stands 6-foot-4, possesses a 79 inch wingspan and weighs 305 pounds, into the fold. While some recruiting services list Slagle as an interior lineman, he has the length to play tackle… and as a high school junior, he could continue to grow.
An Iowa native, Slagle committed to the Cyclones on Nov. 22. Given Clanton and new Penn State head coach Matt Campbell’s initial success in recruiting him, there’s an excellent chance he’ll join them in Happy Valley.
