0 – The number of points FIU has scored now in two matchups against PSU. The Nittany Lions have now outscored the Golden Panthers 93-0.
5 – It was the fifth consecutive season (2021-2025) the Penn State defense earned a shut out. The last time PSU had five consecutive seasons was from 1972 to 1976. Since 2015, Penn State has had 13 shutouts, the second most in the FBS behind Alabama (14).
5 – EDGE Dani Dennis-Sutton had his fifth consecutive game with two or more tackles for loss. Since Penn State’s College Football Playoff matchup against SMU, Dennis-Sutton has accrued 12 tackles for loss.
25 – Quarterback Drew Allar moved into a seventh place tie in Penn State history with his 25th career win. Allar is now tied with John Shaffer (1984-1986).
67 – Gabe Nwosu’s fourth quarter punt of 67 yards was the longest by a Penn State punter since Jordan Stout’s 76-yard punt against Wisconsin in 2021. The longest punt in program history was 89 yards by Coop French in 1930 against Iowa.
1990 – The year the last time Penn State had multiple defensive tackles had interceptions.
Zane Durant and Alonzo Ford Become First Duo To Do This in 35 Years
Last week, Zane Durant made his first career interception against Nevada. Against FIU, Alonzo Ford made his first career interception. In 1990, defensive tackles Frank Giannetti (Alabama) and Jim Deter (Notre Dame) had interceptions for the Nittany Lions.
3,000 – Running backs Kaytron Allen (3,064) and Nicholas Singleton (3,007) both eclipsed the 3,000 career rushing yard milestone and are the first teammates to have 3,000 or more rushing yards in the Power 4 since 2017 Georgia (Nick Chubb and Sony Michel).
