EA Sports dubbed Penn State as the No. 2 place to play in college football on its “Toughest Places to Play” list in “College Football 26.” The video game creators ranked LSU as the toughest place to play.
CBS Sports college football analyst Josh Pate believes Happy Valley isn’t even the second-best home venue.
Pate ranked Penn State the third toughest road environment behind LSU (No. 2) and another SEC team not even in EA Sports’ top 10.

Penn State finished 7-1 at home last season, losing to Ohio State as the only blemish. The Nittany Lions are 19-3 at Beaver Stadium over the last three seasons, only losing to Ohio State (twice and Michigan.
Penn State is 12-8 in White Out games since 2007.
The Nittany Lions host Nevada on August 30 to begin the 2025 season. Key home matchups include the 2025 White Out against Oregon (Sept. 27), Indiana (Nov. 8, and Nebraska (Nov. 22).
