The time is getting near for Penn State to play USC in the LA Coliseum.
It’s the biggest game either team has played to this point.
For Penn State, the team must win to stay undefeated and assure its place in the top four, and with No. 2 Ohio State taking on No. 3 Oregon later Saturday night, a win should ensure Penn State a place in the top 3 when the AP Poll comes out Sunday afternoon.
For USC, who has already lost twice, a win would keep its College Football Playoff hopes alive. So, yeah, both teams have a lot riding on this one.
It’s supposed to be a beautiful day in Cali, with temperates set to range between 78 and 80 degrees during the game with clear skies throughout, so it will certainly look like Penn State is playing in the Coliseum for the first time since 1991. USC won that game but isn’t favored to win this one.
Penn State is a 3.5 point favorite per BetMGM although that spread has moved in favor of USC.
As of Wednesday morning, Penn State had been favored by 5.5 and NBCSports was projecting the line to move even further in Penn State’s direction, “likely closing around -6 or -7.”
Penn State has alumni all over the country and should have plenty of fans in the Coliseum. For those who won’t be there, here’s how to watch, listen and stream the game.
