It came as no surprise that the Penn State football team found themselves in the Top 10 of the 2024 College Football Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll.
With the talent the Nittany Lions return on offense and some of their big playmakers, led by Abdul Carter on defense, most experts were forecasting Penn State to appear in the top half of the rankings, and they were exactly right.
This morning the first poll was released, and Penn State football was ranked No. 9 by the college coaches.
When looking over the entire poll, the Big Ten Conference had six teams ranked- Penn State, Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan, USC and Iowa.
Not surprisingly, the SEC conference led the way with nine teams ranked- Georgia, Texas, Alabama, Ole Miss, Missouri, LSU, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas A&M.
