Adrian Wilson is rated as one of the top junior wide receivers in the country and despite only being a junior, Wilson’s had an interesting recruiting story to this point.

The 6’2″, 175-pound wide out from Weiss High School in Pflugerville, Texas decided to make an early commitment to in-state TCU in June. That changed at the end of July when he visited Oregon and flipped his commitment to the Ducks.

The Penn State coaching staff is hoping that Wilson has one more change in him because on Wednesday night, the Nittany Lions staff extended him an offer. Wilson received the news from Marques Hagans, Ja’Juan Seider and Calvin Lowry.

Rivals has Wilson ranked as a Top 50 recruit with some of his bigger offers from Louisville, Miami, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Baylor, Utah, Arizona and Arizona State.

“Adrian Wilson is a big-play receiver that has demonstrated his talent on Friday nights and in 7-on-7 settings,” Rivals national recruiting analyst Cole Patterson wrote this summer. “He gets open down the field and consistently creates opportunities for the offense to make explosive plays in the passing game.

The question now is Wilson’s recruitment officially closed this time and if not, can the Nittany Lions coaches convince him to make a visit to Penn State?

By extending Wilson the offer, there’s no doubt that Hagans, Seider and company will try.

Penn State already has five commitments in their Class of 2025, including a 4-star recruit from Texas.
