2024 4-Star WR Alex Taylor Sets Commitment Date, Lists Penn State As Finalist

Could Penn State be in line to add another topflight wide receiver?

The last three commitments for Penn State have been from wide receivers and they appear to be hunting more?

2024 4-star wide out Alex Taylor announced today that he plans on announcing his college decision on July 29th and that he’ll be selecting from the following schools: Penn State, Clemson, North Carolina, NC State and Virginia Tech.

Penn State’s interest in Taylor goes all the way back to December of 2021 when they first extended him an offer.

Taylor (6’3″, 175-pounds) is from Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. Rivals.com currently rates Taylor as one of the Top 200 overall players in the Class of 2024 and the No. 4 overall recruit in North Carolina.

In terms of official visits, Taylor made trips to Clemson (June 2), Virginia Tech (June 9), NC State (June 16), Penn State (June 20) and North Carolina (June 23).

Between June 21 and June 23, Penn State received commitments from 4-star wide receiver Tyseer Denmark, 3-star wide receiver Peter Gonzalez and 4-star wide receiver Josiah Brown.

The Nittany Lions appear to be inclined to bring in one more topflight receiver and it looks to be a battle between Taylor and 4-star Nick Marsh.
