With the graduation of Sean Clifford, former 5-star quarterback Drew Allar will lead the Penn State offense in 2023.
As the Nittany Lions staff is out recruiting now, James Franklin is looking and trying to secure the Nittany Lions quarterback of the future.
Tomorrow, Penn State will host 2024 4-star quarterback Michael Van Buren for an unofficial visit and Tuesday night, they offered another elite junior quarterback.
Offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich extended an offer to 2024 4-star quarterback Michael Hawkins from Emerson High School in Frisco, Texas. Rivals.com ranks Hawkins as the No. 3 junior quarterback and No. 166 overall player in the nation.
Along with Penn State, Hawkins holds offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Michigan, Missouri, NC State, Oklahoma, TCU, Virginia Tech and SMU.

Hawkins recently made an unofficial visit to Arkansas, with Alabama and TCU also recruiting him very hard but all signs point towards Brent Venables and Oklahoma being the leader for Hawkins.
At this point, Hawkins is scheduled to make his commitment on January 31st, but the question now is whether this offer from Penn State will change things and get him to push back his decision date?
