Joey Porter Jr. is back, Olu Fashanu isn’t and Abdul Carter and Curtis Jacobs are starting linebackers for Penn State in the final lineups of the 2022 regular season, announced before today’s game with Michigan State.
Porter missed Penn State’s wins against Maryland at Beaver Stadium and at Rutgers due to appendicitis.
But this week, he’s good to go in what is likely his last game at Beaver Stadium. Porter has eligibility remaining, but the corner is projected by many to go in the first round of 2023’s NFL Draft.
Fashanu hasn’t played since the Ohio State game Oct. 29. Although Franklin said in this past Tuesday’s weekly presser that he expected Fashanu and Porter to be back before the end of the season, only one of them has suited up for today’s regular-season finale.
Sean Clifford is making his last home start at QB, and both Jacobs, an established veteran, and Carter, a freshman sensation, are also in the lineups.
Here’s are the full starting lineups, according to announcements on Penn State’s jumbotrons before the Michigan State game.
