Penn State Extends Offer to Florida Offensive Line Transfer Joshua Braun

Penn State intends on adding some veteran depth to their offensive line for next season.

On Tuesday, the Penn State staff extended an offer to Joshua Braun, who previously announced that he is transferring from the Florida Gators program.

Braun is a 6’6″, 351-pound interior lineman that was a 4-star recruit in Florida’s Class of 2020. Braun originally committed to Georgia before flipping to Florida right before signing day.

The sophomore will have three seasons of athletic eligibility remaining, as he’ll redshirt this season after playing in only two games.

As a freshman under previous head coach Dan Mullen, Braun played in 11 games as a reserve and then as a sophomore, he played in 13 games, including seven starts.

Penn State will have competition for Braun as he’s also received recent offers from Texas Tech, Duke, Western Michigan, Central Florida and UNLV.

The entire Nittany Lions offensive line is eligible to return, although Ola Fashanu will have the opportunity to enter the NFL Draft and is a likely 1st round pick.
