The latest 247Sports rankings have come out, and 2023 Penn State commit Anthony Donkoh, an offensive lineman from Lightridge High School in Aldie, Virginia, has his ratings upgraded from a three-star prospect to a four-star prospect, according to the scouting outlet.

The 6-foot-5, 310-pound Donkoh, is currently the seventh-best player in Virginia and the No. 17 overall interior offensive lineman nationally, according to 247Sports. He plays offensive tackle for Lightridge, but scouts say he projects better at guard at the college level.

Donkoh committed to Penn State on Jan. 28 over Duke, Liberty, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia. He is one of the five prospects from Virginia that are committed to Penn State, and all are top ten prospects in the state. Donkoh joins Alex Birchmeier, Tony Rojas, Mathias Barnwell, and Carmelo Taylor.

Scouts point to the jump in rankings to his position versatility with a nearly seven-foot wingspan that could allow him to play tackle or on the interior offensive line in college. He also plays defensive tackle for Lightridge, dominating at the line of scrimmage with his front-line strength to win his matchup at the point of attack. Scouts are impressed with his length, combined with his heavy-handed blocking ability to keep pass rushers away.

With Donkoh earning four-star status, Penn State now has 14 four-star commits in the 2023 recruiting cycle.
