Penn State is starting conference play on the road for the 13th time in 14 years.
Some people are upset about that. Some are annoyed at the people who are upset. Others are indifferent.
Here’s some of what the people of Twitter had to say about it.
I'm sure Penn State opening its Big Ten schedule on the road will go over like a lead balloon in these parts.

July 27: Penn State AD Pat Kraft about Nittany Lions opening league play on road every year since 2016: “It stinks. I called conference office & said this is unacceptable. This shouldn't happen at Penn State”
Today: Big Ten 2023
schedule is out & Penn State opens at Illinois— Brett McMurphy (@Brett_McMurphy) October 26, 2022
Yeah…Big Ten always puts us on the road to start B1G play…just a coincidence though… https://t.co/I4fiuUxx6m

Penn state opens big ten play in 2023 on the road… AGAIN 😂😂😂 what a joke

People are rankled, but Nits are 7-2 in Big Ten road openers under CJF — and have only been fed to wolves once (at Michigan, 2016). They've opened not only league but season twice on road in last two seasons — winning at Purdue and Wisconsin. They've been pretty good early.

The last time Penn State had a conference opener at home? 2015 against Rutgers.
It was the third game of this young man’s career. He ended up being pretty good. pic.twitter.com/cqFFBQqWaK

And the only reason it was a "Big Ten home opener" was because Rutgers was scheduled as a non-conference game originally, and it was not moved. https://t.co/VnSIKxXxCo

Apparently whining is something that starts at the top at Penn State https://t.co/E17LZtw302

Always whining about something. Frankly, I'd rather be at home in November when the games tend to be bigger and the weather sucks than in September.

These people whine more than my 6 yr old https://t.co/1TrCHilQtL

eh, its not like its a week 1 night game like this year. Playing week 3 at Illinois with 2 home games under Allar belt isn't a big deal.

Really starting to think Penn State will never open conference play at home.
