WEEK 1: VS. WEST VIRGINIA, SEPT. 2
The first game on the schedule will be the first meeting between the two schools since 1992. Penn State leads the all time series 42-6-1. West Virginia has only beaten Penn State twice since 1955.
WEEK 2: VS. DELAWARE, SEPT. 9
Penn State and Delaware have never met before. The two schools have a series scheduled for 2023 and 2027.
WEEK 3: AT ILLINOIS, SEPT. 16
Penn State is starting Big Ten play on the road for the 13th time in 14 years.
WEEK 4: VS. IOWA, SEPT. 23
Coach James Franklin’s team will want revenge after its last game against Iowa: a loss that started a downward spiral in 2021.
Penn State was 5-0 coming into its game at Iowa, and finished 7-6.
WEEK 5: AT NORTHWESTERN, SEPT. 30
This will be Penn State’s first trip to Evanston since 2017. Penn State beat Northwestern this season and leads the all-time series, 15-5.

WEEK 7: VS. UMASS, OCT. 14
Penn State beat UMass in 2014, Franklin’s first season. That’s the only meeting between the two schools.
WEEK 8: AT. OHIO STATE, OCT. 21
The annual Penn State-Ohio State showdown won’t take place Halloween Weekend, which is different from the past few years.
WEEK 9: VS. INDIANA, OCT. 28
Penn State plays Indiana on the road Nov. 6 this year. It leads the all-time series with the Hoosiers, 23-2, with Indiana’s two wins coming in 2013 and 2020.
WEEK 10: AT MARYLAND, NOV. 4
Penn State plays Maryland at Beaver Stadium Nov. 12 this season. PSU leads a series that dates back to 1917, 41-3. Two of Maryland’s wins over Penn State have come in the James Franklin era (2014, 2020.)
WEEK 11: VS. MICHIGAN, NOV 11

WEEK 12: VS. RUTGERS, NOV. 18
Penn State and Rutgers play Nov. 19 this year in Piscataway, New Jersey. Rutgers has never beat Penn State since it joined the Big Ten in 2014, and trails the all-time series, 30-2.
