Penn State is a finalist along with Mississippi State, Purdue, Pitt and West Virginia. Both of 247Sports’ “Crystal Ball” projections have him picking Mississippi State.
Last season, Brown caught 69 passes for 1,144 yards and 11 touchdowns, also becoming a state medalist in wrestling. Penn State extended an offer to Brown last October, and he took an unofficial visit in March.
He didn’t take an official visit to Penn State this summer.
If Brown commits to Penn State, he’d be the second receiver to do so in the 2023 class, joining four-star Ejani Shakir, who pledged in May. Penn State got a commitment from three-star receiver Yazeed Haynes in June, but he flipped to Georgia late last month.
