Penn State is in the hunt along with defending national champion Georgia and Big Ten rivals Michigan and Ohio State. Harris made his official visit to Penn State this past weekend.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pounder is the No. 30 player in Florida, the No. 19 cornerback and the No. 151 overall recruit in the Class of 2023.
In his 2021, Harris recorded 37 tackles, two pass breakups, one interception and a blocked punt, helping Gulliver to an 11-2 record and a spot in the Florida 4A state playoffs.
Harris was named a Miami Herald All-Dade 5A-IND third-team selection. He’s also a sprinter running as fast as 21.61 in the 200-meter dash.
Harris is the brother of Donnell Harris, a former blue-chip pass rusher from the class of 2020 who now plays for Texas A&M.
If Harris commits to Penn State, he’d be the school’s third 2023 commit from the Sunshine State, joining quarterback Marcus Stokes and safety Conrad Hussey.
He’ll make his decision Friday, July 1.
