Daniel Harris, a class of 2023 four-star recruit from Miami, Fl. has narrowed his school choice down to ten, and Penn State made his list.
The other schools on his list are Jackson State, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Syracuse, Texas A & M, Ohio State, Michigan, Georgia, and the University of Miami.
Harris is a 6-2, 170 defensive back out of Gulliver Prep High School in Miami, Fl. He made the Miami Herald All-Dade 5A-IND third team in 2021 when he recorded 37 tackles, one interception, two pass breakups, and blocked a punt on special teams. In track and field, his best time was 21.61 in the 200 meters and 10.74 in the 100 meters.
Harris is the No. 38 rated cornerback prospect and the No. 62 recruit in Florida. His brother Donnell was a five-star recruit in the class in the Class of 2020, and he now plays defensive end for Texas A & M University.
Penn State already has one defensive back from the Class of 2023 in Lamont Payne out of Chartiers Valley (Bridgeville, PA), and looking to secure another defensive back that has the versatility to play anywhere in the secondary much like 2022 Penn State draft prospects Jaquan Brisker and Tariq Castro-Fields.
