Ta’Mere Robinson (2023), a 6-foot-3, 220-pound EDGE/linebacker from Brashear High School in Pittsburgh, will be taking an official Penn State visit this weekend, June 17-June 19.
Penn State is in Robinson’s top three along with Miami and Virginia Tech. Both of 247Sports’ “crystal ball” projections have Robinson committing to Penn State. Penn State offered Robinson in April of 2020, when he was still a high school freshman.
Robinson’s junior season ended in mid-October when he had surgery to repair a torn ACL and MCL. When healthy, Robinson can play almost anywhere needed on Brashear’s defense, whether that’d be on the edge, at inside or outside linebacker, at safety or at slot corner.
If Robinson commits to Penn State, he’ll be the school’s second western Pennsylvania product to join its 2023 class. Chartiers Valley cornerback Lamont Payne committed last September.
