Norman is a 6-foot-5, 290-pound defensive tackle out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
According to the On3 Consensus, he is the No. 17 defensive lineman and the No. 24 ranked player in Florida from his class.
Norman made two unofficial visits to Penn State’s campus, most recently March 19, and he plans to make his final decision before the start of his senior year.
In an interview with Rivas.com Adam Friedman, Norman spoke on each of his top five schools and how he is going about his recruiting process. He said this about Penn State’s program.
“They were around from late freshman year all the way up until now, and (I) feel that nothing has changed,” Norman said. “Coach (James) Franklin is one of those coaches that you will know that he will be there. That’s the feeling that you get.”
“If I were looking for the home route, or stay close to my mom and be a hometown hero and make a change in my community, then that would be the school that I would choose.”
Penn State is looking to add its first interior defensive lineman for the 2023, and if Norman comes to Penn State, he will join his former teammate, freshman running back Kaytron Allen.
