Penn State is in Pierre’s top eight, along with Alabama— which he’s visiting this weekend— Florida State, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi State and Auburn. Penn State offered Pierre May 10 of last year.
Pierre is 6-foot-4 and weighs 220 pounds. 247 doesn’t currently have a “crystal ball” prediction for what school he’ll pick. If he were to choose Penn State, Pierre would be the first edge rusher to commit to the 2023 class. Penn State had a commitment from four-star Neeo Avery, but Avery decommitted March 27. Another four-star defensive end, Roman Catholic’s Jameial Lyons, has Penn State in his top five.
