Another Penn State recruit has announced that his commitment is “107% shut down.”

Jven Williams has only been committed to Penn State since this past Saturday, but it seems like he has no interest in playing college football anywhere else.
Williams is the fourth of Penn State’s 2023 recruits to send such a tweet– and the third to use the “107” number, which is thought to be a reference to Beaver Stadium’s seating capacity. Alex Birchmeier, Joshua “Doogie” Miller and Mega Barnwell shut down their recruitments earlier in the year. Three of the four linemen to shut it down are offensive linemen.

Williams is currently in his junior year at Wyomissing High School in Reading, Pennsylvania. This past season, he helped Wyomissing to a Class 3A PIAA State Title game appearance, where it fell to Central Valley. He’s also part of what looks like could be an offensive line revolution at Penn State, spearheaded by James Franklin and Phil Trautwein. Four of Penn State’s eight commitments for the 2023 class are offensive linemen.
