Penn State Has Three Rivals Top 250 Commits and is Targeting Six More Recruits

Rivals.com has come out with their Top 250 for their Class of 2023 and Penn State has three 4-star verbal commitments in offensive guard Alex Birchmeier out of Broad Run High School in Ashburn, VA, offensive tackle Jven Williams out of Wyomissing High school in Wyomissing, Pa, and cornerback Lamont Payne out of Chartiers Valley in Bridgeville, Pa.

Birchmeier is the 40th overall prospect in the country who has recently shut down his recruitment from other schools. Williams is the 159th overall prospect for 2023 has also shut down his recruitment and is fully committed to Penn State. Payne committed to Penn State last September and had 27 tackles and one interception in 2021.

Penn State has also extended offers to offensive tackle Samson Okunola (64th overall recruit) out of Thayer Academy in Braintree, MA, wide receiver Rodney Gallagher (107th overall) out of Laurel Highlands High School in Uniontown, PA, linebacker Ta’Mere Robinson (146th overall) out of Brashear High School in Pittsburgh, PA, linebacker Tony Rojas (210th overall) out of Fairfax High School in Fairfax, VA, linebacker Phil Picciotti (215th overall) out of Pennridge Upper Senior High School in Perkasie, Pa, and offensive tackle Sam Pendleton (239th overall) out of Ronald Regan High School in Pfafftown, NC.

All of these recruits have visited Penn State and Rivals.com Future Cast projects that the three linebackers Robinson, Rojas, and Picciotti will commit to the Nittany Lions.

If those three linebackers come to Penn State, then they will have three four-star linebackers that will develop under new defensive coordinator Manny Diaz who also happens to be the linebackers’ coach.

If they can add Okunola and/or Pendleton then they will have potentially four-star recruits to the Class of 2023 that offensive line coach Phil Trautwein’s disposal.
