Penn State fans who have complained about Beaver Stadium’s WiFi for years may not be complaining much longer.
The Finance and Investment committee within the Penn State Board of Trustees approved a 10-year agreement with AT&T that will upgrade cellular connectivity at Beaver Stadium.
The bad news is that this won’t go into effect in 2026 beyond interim improvements AT&T plans to make.
Penn State still has six of its seven (hehe) home games to play, and there’s a good chance they feature connection issues.
But the good news is that the agreement should go into action at the start of the 2027 season.

Per Penn State, the new system will have five times more coverage and 18 times more bandwidth. Fans who don’t have AT&T will also be able to connect.
Penn State still hasn’t announced plans to upgrade WIFI, so that is an issue that fans would still like to see addressed.
