Omarion Davis arrives at Penn State with a season of Power Four experience and the versatility to help the Nittany Lions at multiple spots in the secondary.
The 5-foot-11, 198-pound safety appeared in 12 games and made two starts for Boston College last season. He finished with 13 tackles, including eight solo stops, and added one quarterback hurry.

Before Penn State
High school: Davis played two seasons at Indian Land High School in South Carolina, where he developed into one of the state’s more productive defensive backs.
He compiled 161 tackles over those two seasons while adding four interceptions, five forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Davis earned all-state recognition as a senior, received an invitation to the Carolina Shrine Bowl and was nominated for the Bronko Nagurski Defensive Player of the Year Award.
247Sports ranked him as the No. 52 safety nationally and the No. 18 prospect in South Carolina. On3 placed him No. 25 among players in the state.

He opened the year with three tackles against Fordham and delivered his strongest performance against Clemson, collecting a career-high six tackles—four solo—and a quarterback hurry.
Davis also recorded tackles against Pitt, UConn, Louisville and SMU.
Pro Football Focus credited him with 153 defensive snaps, including 82 in coverage. He allowed six receptions on nine targets for 36 yards and did not surrender a touchdown.
Where he stands: Davis gives Penn State another young safety with meaningful college experience.
His tackling production in high school and ability to earn two starts as a freshman suggest he is comfortable playing with physicality near the line of scrimmage.
He will enter a competitive secondary, but his experience, size and willingness to contribute should give him an opportunity to earn an immediate role on defense and special teams.
