The Penn State men’s basketball program has added their third player in four days from the transfer portal in 6′-4″ shooting guard from Davidson, Roberts Blums.
Blums, from Riga, Lativa, was a sophomore this past season for the Wildcats, who compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
He averaged 12.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists while shooting 45.6% from the field and 40.7% from three.
Blums, at this point, is the sixth, international player on the 2026-2027 Penn State men’s basketball roster joining Ivan Juric (Croatia), Tibor Mirtic (Slovenia), Sasa Ciani (Slovenia), Francois Wibaut (France) and Roko Prkacin (Croatia).
Coach Rhoades and his staff have been very intentional in recruiting players from overseas due to their high basketball IQ, high-level fundamental skills and their experience from playing against older players.
Last Sunday, PSU also signed Jay Rodgers from Central Connecticut and yesterday they signed Brant Byers from Miami (OH).
