Penn State’s first road game will take place on October 4 when the Nittany Lions travel to Los Angeles to take on UCLA in the Rose Bowl.
CBS will have a double header of college football coverage that kicks off at 12 PM (Eastern) with Air Force visiting Annapolis to take on Navy, followed by Penn State visiting UCLA headlining CBS’s coverage at 3:30 PM (Eastern).
This is Penn State’s first trip to play a regular season in Los Angeles to play UCLA since 1968 where the Nittany Lions were victorious 21-6 in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
Penn State is looking to even the series between the programs at four games a piece.
The Nittany Lions have won two-straight in the series, with the Bruins last defeating Penn State 17-15 in 1967 at Beaver Stadium.
All-time, James Franklin has a 4-2 record against the four former Pac-12 teams; USC, UCLA, Oregon, and Washington, that began Big Ten play in 2024.
Last week, UCLA relieved head coach DeShaun Foster of his duties after posting a 5-10 record and named Tim Skipper as their interim head coach.
No. 3 Penn State hosts No. 6 Oregon this Saturday in the annual “White Out” at Beaver Stadium. NBC will broadcast the game at 7:30 PM that will also stream live on Peacock.
