Turtle Creek – First impressions can be lasting ones when garnering how to familiarize and remember someone by.
For those who watched Penn State commit Kemon Spell’s junior season debut at The Wolvarena in the 2025 KDKA High School Football Kickoff Classic on Saturday, they’ll recall something historic.
Spell (McKeesport High School) took the opening kickoff back 98 yards and set an early tone in McKeesport’s 51-24 victory over Delaware Valley. He scored not just on his first touch of the game, not just on his second, but three consecutive times the football found his hands, Spell reached the end zone.
The No. 1 running back in the class of 2027, Spell committed to Penn State one year ago and has emerged as a five-star recruit. He finished the performance with 293 yards rushing on 13 carries and five total touchdowns.
“We Are,” Spell said in our postgame interview. He mentioned Penn State reached out to him, wishing him well in the game, and frequently keeps in contact with members of the staff.
Spell discussed his historic performance and communication with Penn State after the game.
