Marcellous “Cello” Jackson (2026) is the third 4-Star prospect in 2 weeks to announce that he has Penn State on his final list of narrowed-down schools to attend next year. Jackson is a 6′-4,” 205 lb. Small Forward from Columbus High School out of Miami, Florida. Per 247Sports, he is the No. 139 ranked player in the nation, the No. 48 ranked Small Forward in the nation and the No. 22 ranked player from Florida. The other 8 schools on his final list are Memphis, Arkansas State, Virginia Tech., California, Seton Hall, Temple, Murray State and Texas State.
Earlier this week, it was reported by Joe Tipton of Rivals that 6′-6,” 190 lb. Small Forward, Jayden Hodge, has Penn State in his final list of 8 schools to attend. Hodge plays for Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida and is the #59 overall ranked player in the country, per 247Sports. His is also the #24 ranked Small Forward in the country and the #11 ranked player in the state of Florida. The other 7 schools on Hodge’s list are Virginia, Old Dominion, VCU, Northwestern, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Georgetown.
Just last week, another 4-Star blue chipper, Julius Avent (2026), announced that he has Penn State narrowed down in his final list of 5 schools to attend. Avent, a 6′-8″ Power Forward from Oradell, New Jersey is the #87 ranked player in the nation, per 247Sports. He is scheduled to visit Happy Valley on September 6th.
