University Park— Penn State had its annual spring game Saturday, and it was a first for many.

It was the first spring game Jim Knowles spent as the team’s defensive coordinator, the first for Stan Drayton as running backs coach and also the first game played in Beaver Stadium since Penn State tore down the press box.
