Baschamania has reported that Penn State’s Alex Facundo and Gary Steen will both be entering the transfer portal.

Facundo, a 157 pounder on the roster, had no clear path any time soon at being a starter with Tyler Kasak at 157 and Mitchell Mesenbrink at 165 pounds. After taking an Olympic redshirt last season, Facundo went 5-0 this season in limited action. Two years ago, he qualified for NCAAs as a 165-pounder and went 19-6 for the year. Facundo will have two years of eligibility left.

Steen went 3-3 this year while competing at 133 pounds, but did not see any dual meet action. He’s been used sparingly this season and last season at 125 and 133 after being the primary starter at 125 for a large portion of the 2022-23 season. Steen will have one season of eligibility remaining.
