Vegas: Penn State Now Favored Over Notre Dame

Miami, Florida—Penn State is now the favored in its Orange Bowl/College Football Playoff semifinal matchup with Notre Dame.

FanDuel Sportsbook previously had Penn State as a slight underdog.

Now, the line is PSU -1.5.

This is good news for Penn State based on history. Since the start of the 2022 season, PSU is 34-1 as the favorite, with the only loss coming in the Peach Bowl against Ole Miss last season where practically half the team either opted out of the game or was playing on a snap count.

As an underdog, on the other hand, Penn State hasn’t won a game since it beat Wisconsin in September 2021. This is what leads to the idea that James Franklin-coached teams know how to win the games they are supposed to but don’t know how to deal with stiffer competition. He has a chance to help change the narrative tonight.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:45 on ESPN.
