Saquon Barkley Earns ‘MVP!’ Chants

PHILADELPHIA, PA - JANUARY 12: Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley (26) is interviewed by Fox Network Erin Andrew’s after the NFC Wild Card playoff game between the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles on January 12th, 2025 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA. Former Penn State and current Eagles RB Saquon Barkley probably isn’t going to win NFL MVP but maybe he should.

The fans of Philadelphia certainly think he should.

It’s unclear how many times Eagles fans chanted “MVP!” for the 2,000+ yard RB during the season but surely it was multiple.

Late in Philly’s 28-22 win over the Rams in Sunday’s NFC Divisional Playoff, Barkley gave fans a reason to chant it again with a 78-yard run.

Barkley ended Sunday with by far his best Playoff game ever: 205 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries.

When Barkley was with the New York Football Giants, his teams only made the Playoffs once in six seasons. It only took one season with the Eagles for Barkley to make it back there. He sure is making the most of it.
