Ahead of Penn State’s final game of its season-opening homestand, news came out that the school’s third highest-rated recruit ever, Miles Goodman, would be out again.
Goodman has yet to play this year as he has been nursing a preseason shoulder injury.
Goodman was the 84th-ranked player and 12th-ranked center in the class of 2024, per 247Sports. In 247Sportsโ Composite, the only Penn State recruits with a higher rating than Goodman (0.9525) were Tony Carr (0.9746) in 2016 and recent 2025 verbal commit, Kayden Mingo (0.9834).
On the injury report though, sophomore transfer Eli Rice was upgraded to questionable, making him a possible option Tuesday night against Saint Francis.
Last season, Rice was one of six freshmen nationally to attempt at least 58 percent of his shots from 3, shoot at least 37 percent from deep and have a defensive rebound percentage of 13.5 percent. If he is available, it will be interesting to see how coach Mike Rhoades deploys him amongst the platoon of lengthy wings on this roster.
Penn State’s matchup against the Red Flash is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center. The game will also be streaming on Peacock.
