Penn State has a chance to impress two recruiting targets Saturday night against Washington.
On3Sports and 247Sports have reported reported that Tavian Branch, a three-star tackle from Riverside High School in Taylor, Pennsylvania, and Marlen Bright, a three-star OT from DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, New Jersey, will be in attendance for Penn State’s annual White Out Game.
Penn State already has a big-time OL committed to its 2026 Class. Kevin Brown, a four-star in-state OT from Harrisburg, is Penn State’s top-rated Class of 2026 commit. Brown is the No. 1 overall player in Pennsylvania per 247Sports’ composite rankings, as well as the ninth-ranked offensive tackle in the country and the No. 80 overall player.
MORE ABOUT TAVIAN BRANCH
Penn State offered Branch in late July during Lasch Bash Weekend, the program’s annual recruiting event of the summer. He also has offers from schools such as Boston College, Cincinnati, Duke, Kentucky, Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. Branch visited Penn State Sept. 7 for its game against Bowling Green and then returned for Saturday’s game against Ohio State.
He talked about his latest visit with Tyler Calvaruso of Lions247.
“The fans and the atmosphere,” Branch said of what stood about to him about his return to Penn State. “It was something I’ve never seen before.”
Now, Branch will get to see the White Out.
MORE ON MARLEN BRIGHT
Bright has been on Penn State’s radar longer than Branch. Penn State offered Bright in June 2023. He’s visited Penn State four times since then, the most recent being for the Oct. 5 game against UCLA. He also has offers from schools such as Boston College, Cincinnati, Duke, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Pitt, Rutgers, Stanford, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCF, UCLA, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
No. 6 Penn State has to win out to assure its spot in the College Football Playoff.
