Penn State-Maryland: Betting, Weather and How to Watch

Penn State has played Maryland 10 seasons in a row and won eight of those matchups.

Penn State football’s last game of the 2024 regular season will commence at 3:30 Saturday against Maryland, and odds are, it will be a good day to be a PSU fan.

Because Penn State is 10-1 and ranked No. 4 and Maryland is 4-7 and ranked nowhere, it’s no surprise that Penn State is a heavy favorite.

FanDuel Sportsbook has Penn State as a 24.5-point favorite. Along with the disparity in records and talent, PSU is known to beat up on Maryland. Another proven fact is that five of Penn State coach James Franklin’s eight wins against Maryland have been by 30 points or more. Maryland, by contrast, only has two wins against Penn State since starting to play in the Big Ten in the 2014 season.

It’s quite simple. If Penn State beats Maryland, it will punch its ticket to the College Football Playoff and likely host a game. If it loses, that won’t happen. Here’s some more information.

WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?

Penn State Football: Beaver Stadium

Jarrod Prugar

As far as November afternoons in Pennsylvania go, this one won’t be too bad. It’s supposed to be a chilly 27 degrees by kickoff, but the sun will be out for Senior Day in Happy Valley.
