UNIVERSITY PARK— There were no tears for Penn State QB Drew Allar this time around.
In last year’s loss at Ohio State, the Medina, Ohio, native who grew up rooting for the Buckeyes went 18-for-14 in the stadium of his boyhood team and his frustration showed, afterward.
Although Allar hid his frustration this time, on the inside, he said he felt the same on this November day in Happy Valley than he did last October.
“It sucks to lose,” he said.
Yes, it does, and Penn State has now lost to Ohio State 12 times in the last 13 seasons, 10 of which under coach James Franklin’s watch.
Hear from Allar, who has experienced three losses to Ohio State, linebackers and captains Dom DeLuca and Kobe King, who have experienced four, starting right guard Sal Wormley and starting defensive tackle Dvon J-Thomas, who have each experienced six.
Penn State gets back on the horse next Saturday against Wisconsin on CBS. Kickoff is scheduled for either 3:30 or 8.
