Come November, people will talk a lot about Drew Allar’s future at Penn State.
Although October just started, the most notable NFL Draft analyst ever has Allar among his top rated quarterbacks should he declare for the 2025 Draft.
Mel Kiper Jr. has Allar among his Top 10 2025 NFL Draft QBs.

More specifically, Kiper has Allar rated No. 6, behind top-rated Shedeur Sanders (Colorado), Georgia’s Carson Beck, Texas’ Quinn Ewers, Miami’s Cam Ward and Alabama’s Jalen Milroe.
Through four games this season, Allar has completed nearly 71% of his passes (he completed around 60 last season), throwing for eight touchdowns and one interception. Allar’s QBR of 87.5 ranks sixth in the nation.
On3Sports’ Kaiden Smith wrote that Allar’s 2024 performance looks to be improved from last season.
“After a solid first season as a starting quarterback at the college level,” Smith wrote, “Allar has looked even better in year two under center for Penn State. He’s thrived in new offense coordinator Andy Kotelnicki‘s scheme with 956 total yards and 10 total scores on the season.”
Smith also pointed out that Allar is showing more versatility.
“Allar has looked like more of a running threat and made more explosive plays in the passing game compared to last season,” Smith wrote. “The Nittany Lion has all the physical tools for the pros standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 243 pounds.”
Rounding out Kiper’s top ten are Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart— whose team beat Allar and Penn State in the Peach Bowl to end last season—, LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier, USC’s Miller Moss and Ohio State’s Will Howard. Penn State is scheduled to take on USC in California Oct. 12 and Ohio State at home Nov. 2.
