Watch: ‘Lamar Allar’ Increases Penn State Lead With 5-Yard TD Run

They don’t call Penn State QB Drew Allar “Lamar Allar” for nothing.

After Penn State’s Week 1 win at West Virginia in which he ran for 44 yards on six carries, coach James Franklin jokingly referenced the great Ravens QB during his postgame presser.

No, Allar isn’t Lamar Jackson, but he has been running the ball more often this season.

At halftime against Kent State, he’s rushed for 26 yards on five carries and a 5-yard score that pushed Penn State’s leads to four scores (and seven years ago) late in the first half.
