The fun thing about this college football season is that with the new 12-team playoff format, it’ll provide weekly debate on who deserves to be included.
Following tonight’s matchup between Boston College vs. Florida State, Week One will be in the books.
In my opinion, the three most impressive teams after Week One were Georgia, Penn State and USC (in that order).
Even before their win over West Virginia, all national college football analysts were forecasting Penn State to be one of the 12-playoff teams and that won’t change this week.
As he does every week, respected college football writer Brett McMurphy forecasts his playoff teams along with bowl projections.
Here’s a look at where Penn State stands per McMurphy.
Projected College Football Playoff Field:
- Oregon 2. Alabama 3. Miami 4. Utah 5. Georgia 6. Ohio State 7. Penn State. 8. Notre Dame 9. Ole Miss 10. USC 11. Iowa 12. Texas State
