There’s no doubt that plenty of Penn State football fans are still looking for tickets to Saturday’s game against Illinois, and StubHub is one of the most popular sites to look on.
Penn State tickets don’t always come cheap, let alone for a Big Ten night game at Beaver Stadium.
But as of early Tuesday afternoon, the prices on StubHub are relatively reasonable for a Penn State football game.
Tickets are as low as $38 before fees and $61 after them.
Now, compare this to Penn State’s game against Ohio State scheduled for Nov. 2 at Beaver Stadium. The cheapest tickets there are $222 including fees. Granted, the Ohio State game is an outlier since that’s annually one of the most anticipated matchups of the season anywhere in college football.
But even the prices for Penn State’s Oct. 5 matchup against UCLA- which is 1-2 and lost to Indiana by 29 at home— are much higher than for Illinois, which is 4-0 and ranked No. 19. The cheapest tickets for that game? 135, including fees.
Regardless of what they pay to get in or if they use StubHub, the fans who attend Penn State football vs. Illinois are going to see a show. It’s becoming increasingly clear that this will be an unofficial White Out game.
“I’m calling for White Out… energy,” Franklin said after Saturday’s 56-0 win over Kent State. “Everybody got me? That could be all your headlines. I’m writing your headlines. I’m the editor – White Out energy. So that’s going to be big next week. We need this place rocking, but we’re going to enjoy this for a couple hours, and then, you know, grade film. And then get going on our next opponent.”
