Who Has Penn State Football and Basketball Reached Out To on First Day of 2026 Contact Period

PSU HC James Franklin

The all-important day of June 15th arrived for high school recruits.

The significance of this is that it’s the first day that college coaches can directly call high school sophomores. Before today, coaches weren’t permitted to directly text or call these players. However, everything now is permittable with it being “The Contact Period’.

Coaching staffs stayed up until midnight and reached out in some fashion to specific players, ones that you’d believe are high on their priority list.

Nittany Sports Now has been monitoring X and will update you with the recruits that indicate that they’ve been contacted by the either the Penn State football or basketball program.
