Two 4-Star Recruits Schedule Official Visits to Penn State Football

Head coach James Franklin.

As college football teams across the country come to the conclusion of their spring practices, more and more players are scheduling their official visits for the summer.

That’s certainly been the case with James Franklin‘s Penn State Nittany Lions.

On Monday, two highly rated juniors announced their plans to make a summer visit to State College in order to get a better knowledge of the Penn State program.

The first player to publicize his plans was 2025 4-star defensive end Cedric Works from Northmont High School in Clayton, Ohio. Rivals.com rates Works as the No. 10 overall junior in Ohio and one of the Top 20 defensive ends in the country.

Works (6’4″, 225) has an offer list that includes Boston College, Cincinnati, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan State, Missouri, Pitt, Purdue and West Virginia.

Works will make his visit from May 31st till June 2, and this is his first announced official visit.

The second announced visitor from Monday was also a defensive and he’s from a state that Penn State doesn’t recruit often.

2025 4-star defensive end Jayden Woods from Mill Valley High School in Shawnee, Kansas will make his official visit from June 7-9.

Woods (6’3″, 230) is also rated by Rivals as a Top 200 recruit and the No. 8 junior defensive end in the country.

Along with Penn State, Woods also holds offers from Alabama, Baylor, Florida, Kansas State, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Oregon, Purdue, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, LSU, Miami Fla., Minnesota, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Texas Tech and USC.

Aside from Penn State, Woods has also scheduled official visits to Wisconsin (May 31st-June 2) and Purdue (June 16-18).
