Penn State-Edinboro Wrestling LIVE FILE

Today is Penn State wrestling’s final dual meet of the season as the Nittany Lions host Edinboro for Senior Day. All the starters are slated to compete for Penn State. Follow along here as the dual meet begins at 2 p.m.

Aaron Brooks, Imran Heard, Greg Kerkvliet, Matt Lee, Baylor Shunk, Carter Starocci, Bernie Truax, and Marco Vespa were honored prior to Sunday’s dual on Senior Day.

125 – The opening match was maybe just a small sample size of what’s to come all day for PSU. Braeden Davis opened the match with two takedowns in the first period while Edinboro’s Caleb Edwards was hit twice for stalling for a point. Davis needed just 4:02 of match time to pick up the 19-3 technical fall.

133 – It was more of a continuance for Aaron Nagao from the Davis match. Nagao wasted very little time, needing 3:33 to pick up the 18-3 technical fall on the Fighting Scots’ Eamonn Jimenez.

141 – Beau Bartlett continued the dominance on Edinboro’s Jacob Brenneman. Just when he was about to get the technical fall, Bartlett put Brenneman on his back and got the pin at 4:11 to put Penn State up 16-0.

149 – Tyler Kasak also put on a takedown clinic until he got the fall just 20 seconds into the second period on Edinboro’s Colin Roberts.

157 – The dominance continued with Levi Haines as he pinned the Scots’ Gannon Jaquay. Haines had a 16-2 lead before flipping Jaquay on his back in 4:38.

165 – Much to the crowd’s dismay, Mitchell Mesenbrink received a forfeit.

174 – Carter Starocci got the technical fall, 22-5, but he had to be helped off the mat as he got the tech. Starocci got his leg twisted as the bout was ending.

184 – As the crowd tried to move on after Starocci’s injury, Bernie Truax racked up another technical fall, this time a 21-3 victory in five minutes over Brody Evans.

197 – Aaron Brooks continued with the tech fall parade with a 19-4 victory in 3:55 over Edinboro’s Jack Kilner.

285 – Greg Kerkvliet finished the dual meet with a pin of Edinboro’s Nicholas Lodato in 1:27.
