Penn State moved up slightly in the College Football Playoff rankings.
The team moved from No. 12 to No. 11, following its 27-6 win over Rutgers Saturday.
Ohio State and Michigan, who are responsible for Penn State’s only losses of 2023, are well ahead of Penn State.
Ohio State, which beat Penn State 20-12 Oct. 21, is No. 2, and Michigan, which got a 24-15 win in Beaver Stadium Nov. 11, is No. 3. Ohio State and Michigan play their annual rivalry game Saturday at Noon on Fox in Columbus. Penn State, on the other hand, plans the night before, taking on Michigan State Black Friday at 7:30. If Penn State wins, it will reach double-digit wins for the second straight season and fourth time under coach James Franklin. PSU at this point is a three-touchdown favorite over 4-7 Sparty.
